A Visit to Cubic Ink® in Lehrte
Last week, IAMHH e.V. had the pleasure of visiting our friends and IAMHH e.V. members at ALTANA Cubic Ink® for a Deep Dive session.
Cubic Ink® develops, tests, and manufactures high-performance 3D printing resins: from soft and flexible to tough and rigid, in any color, and for a wide range of industrial, consumer, and medical applications.
At their Lehrte facility, Cubic Ink® doesn’t just create materials, they also validate print characteristics across nearly all common resin printers and curing systems. The result: complete solutions with proven process parameters that ensure reliable, high-quality outcomes.
Customer-Centric Innovation
What sets Cubic Ink® apart is their close collaboration with customers.
They don’t just provide resins, they work hand-in-hand with partners to:
- Tailor formulations to specific part designs
- Seamlessly integrate printing into existing workflows
- Scale production worldwide through ALTANA AG and ACTEGA’s global capabilities
This customer-first approach ensures that each solution is practical, scalable, and production-ready.

Inspiring Applications on Display
During our visit, we saw an impressive range of real-world resin applications, including:
- 3D printed arm braces
- Eyeglass frames
- Injection molds
- Industrial tooling
These examples demonstrate how tailored resin solutions can bridge the gap between prototyping and production in many industries.

Upcoming Webinar with Cubic Ink®
We’re excited to continue the conversation in our IAMHH webinar next week.
André Salié, together with one of Cubic Ink®’s partners, will present a real-world use case of 3D printed molds in industrial production. Stay tuned for insights into how advanced resins can reshape manufacturing workflows!
Thank You to Our Hosts
A big thank you to André Salié, Anne Asmacher, and Max Röttger for hosting us.
We were joined by Maximilian Heres, Ph.D. (CEO, IAMHH e.V.) and Nora Luttmann (CEO, Fraunhofer IAPT IAMHH® Leistungszentrum), who both emphasized the importance of collaboration between material developers, research institutes, and industry.
